EIFF is now in its 68th edition, and we're looking for people like you to get involved. Every year, we hire an on-season team for the Festival to help us to ensure that questions are answered, programmes are printed, tickets are sold, industry events go smoothly, and that everyone attending has a great time.
The Festival doesn't happen by magic. We rely on the energy, enthusiasm and commitment of approximately 84 temporary paid roles, 14 placements and an amazing 145 volunteers each year.

Volunteer positions span the entire Festival. Volunteers carry out specific roles, working for up to 3 weeks – and the EIFF simply could not happen without them.

Looking for a way into the film industry? You've come to the right place. Placements are mentored, learning opportunities, providing valuable work experience within a specific team at the Festival. If you are interested in experiencing the planning stages, as well as the event itself, these may interest you.

As part of our Industry programme, EIFF offers a series of talent development events, which support project and career development for emerging filmmakers, composers and sound designers.

In the last 10 years EIFF has showcased some of the best emerging and established talent the film industry has to offer, and our Guest Services team is responsible for taking the care of our esteemed guests.
In 2013, the team managed arrangements for 226 Industry guests and a further 528 guests of the Filmmakers. Think you have what it takes to be at the forefront of customer service?

EIFF offers a wealth of Learning events for all ages, from a very popular schools programme to events for adults considering, or furthering, a career in the film industry.
