Edinburgh Schools Film Competition

We are delighted to once again partner with City of Edinburgh Council and Screen Education Edinburgh to give young people in Edinburgh the chance to have their film selected for the Festival and screened alongside leading filmmakers. Open to all pupils in nursery, primary and secondary education, work is viewed and selected by a Young People's Jury who also coordinate and present the award ceremony during the Festival in June.

Last year over 150 films were entered from City of Edinburgh Schools, including Primary, Secondary, Special Schools and Nursery establishments. The Young Jurors selected the final 46 films which were screened as part of the Edinburgh International Film Festival in June with awards given to best of categories. Find out who won last year by clicking here.

The new extended deadline for submitting films is 5pm, Friday 25th April 2014 for all Nursery, Special, Primary and Secondary schools.
