Primary & Secondary

EIFF offers a range of films and events to support particular subjects, inspire creative learning and provide an exciting end of term treat.

We are delighted to once again offer a Primary Schools Gala (Date TBC). Edinburgh schoolchildren were among the first in the UK to see WALL-E, Toy Story 3 and Ratatouille. We hope once again to welcome Pixar animators this year.

For Secondary pupils our Media Days (19th, 25th & 26th June) events will be announced in early June but will include feature films, shorts and presentations from visiting filmmaker guests.  For more information and to book please select from the drop down menu or visit the Filmhouse Learning Page.

In 2012 over 1000 pupils attended schools screenings from the Festival programme. Films included Gattu and Family Shorts for primaries, One Mile Away for Modern Studies pupils, and Day of the Flowers and Leave it on the Track for English and Media Studies students as part of two Media Days. Where possible, these screening were accompanied by Q&As with the filmmakers.
