Primary & Secondary
EIFF offers a range of films and events to support particular subjects, inspire creative learning and provide an exciting end of term treat.
We are delighted to announce two Primary School Screenings of 'Cars 3' as part of the Edinburgh International Film Festival 2017. These screenings will include a special Q&A with Scott Morse, the Head of Story on the film.
Blindsided by a new generation of blazing-fast racers, the legendary Lightning McQueen (voice of Owen Wilson) is suddenly pushed out of the sport he loves. To get back in the game, he will need the help of an eager young race technician, Cruz Ramirez, with her own plan to win, plus inspiration from the late Fabulous Hudson Hornet and a few unexpected turns. Proving that #95 isn’t through yet will test the heart of a champion on Piston Cup Racing’s biggest stage!
This year we have two schools screenings for different ages:
Monday 26 June, 10:00 / Cineworld Fountain Park, for Nursery - P3.
Monday 26 June, 11:00 / Cineworld Fountain Park, for P4 - P7
Tickets for this screenings are £3 for pupils, and teachers go free.
To book please email firstname.lastname@example.org. We anticipate there will be great demand for these screenings, so please book early to avoid disappointment.
For Secondary pupils our Media Days (Tuesday 21 & Wednesday 22 June) events include presentations by British Board of Classification, new feature and short films as well as discussions with visiting filmmakers. For full information and details on how to book, click here.
EIFF 2016 also includes Spanish feature The Olive Tree on Wednesday 22 June, which is suitable for Secondary pupils.
