Hermann Karlsson was born on the 31st of December 1974, in Akureyri, Iceland. He moved to Reykjavik to do his undergraduate studies in fine arts at the Icelandic Academy of Arts from 1999 - 2002. After graduating with a BA-degree he worked as a motion graphics designer and storyboard artist at Sagafilm Productions in Iceland – as well as working as a fine artist and taking part in various exhibitions. In 2005 he moved to Edinburgh to do a masters course in animation at the Edinburgh College of Art, where he graduated with a MDes degree in December 2006.
He currently lives in Edinburgh, working as a freelance artist and an animator.
