The “In Conversation” dialogues of master cinematographer Seamus McGarvey have been among the most eagerly anticipated and most fondly remembered events of previous editions of EIFF. This year, Seamus will be joined on stage by the brilliant cinematographer Chris Menges, whose distinguished career spans five decades and includes such films as The War Game, Kes, Local Hero, Comfort and Joy, The Killing Fields, The Mission, Dirty Pretty Things, Notes on a Scandal, and The Reader. Most recently, he was Director of Photography of Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close. Don’t miss what will surely be an entertaining and illuminating encounter between two first-class practitioners of the art of the image.
