After directing several award-winning short films, Sylvie Verheyde's first feature film Brother was selected by Cannes Film Festival in the Cinemas in France section. Since then, she has directed Princesses (2000), as well as television movies A Woman’s Love (2001) and Sang froid (2007). Stella is her third feature film.
