Toy Story 3 set for the fest

As announced today, it's a huge thrill for EIFF to host the Special 3D Gala screening of Disney/Pixar's Toy Story 3 on Saturday 19 June.

Toy Story 3 is, without doubt, one of 2010's most anticipated releases. The first of the trilogy broke new ground in 1995 as the first entirely CG animated feature. Just as importantly, it breathed new life into animated features as a whole, with a great story and humour that charmed kids from 8 to 80.

And judging from the antics of Woody, Buzz and the crew in the teaser on the official website, the third adventure is set to be just as much fun and look even better, with visual thrills and spills in 3D.

Following on from the hugely popular screenings at recent Festivals of WALL•E and Ratatouille, this is further evidence of the strength of the relationship between EIFF and Disney•Pixar. The Edinburgh audience will be first to see the film outside of North America.

So don't miss your chance to catch the gang at the EIFF Gala screening on Saturday 19 June. Tickets go on sale at midday on 3 June.
