Q: How do I register as a Press member?
A: Press Registrations are now open. More information can be found here.

Q: Is there a deadline for Press registrations?
A: Online Registration closes on Saturday 11 June.

Q: Why does EIFF need a photo of me?
A: In order to create your press pass. Please note that you won't be able to access the Festival as a press delegate without your pass. Front of House staff will be checking passes regularly. 

Q: When and where can I pick up my press pass?
On the day you arrive, bring a print-out of your confirmation email or letter to the Registration desk at the Traverse Theatre, 10 Cambridge Street, EH1 2ED. This is just across the road from the Filmhouse. The Delegate Registration desk will be open from 11:00 on Monday 13 June and from 08:30 on Tuesday 14 June until 16:00. From Wednesday 15 the desks will be open until 18:00.

Q: I'm interested in setting up an Interview with a festival guest . How do I go about this?
A: An EIFF Talent Contacts Grid will available in the Downloads section of the Press section of our website where press can find the relevant contacts to set up interviews, but if you have any further enquiries please email our Press Agency at

Q: I have a film/media blog. Can I apply for a press pass?
A: EIFF welcomes applications from bloggers. We will evaluate your blog's readership/followers before allocating you a pass.

Q: Do I need to apply for a pass for each staff/contributors that is attending the festival?
A: Yes. Passes are exclusive to the pass holder and are non transferable.

Q: Is there a limit on how many press passes a company can apply for?
A: Normally we accept no more than three passes per company (excluding crew members). However, we will evaluate each request on a case by case basis.
