Distribution Rewired is a two-day focus dedicated to developing communication and collaboration between filmmakers and film distribution professionals working with new/emerging distribution methods.
Distribution Rewired will take place on Monday 26 – Tuesday 27 June 2017
Delivered as part of the EIFF 2017 Industry programme, Distribution Rewired will welcome a host of guest speakers who can advise and inform filmmakers and the film industry about the new and upcoming opportunities available.
Distribution Rewired will create a space and marketplace dedicated to new and emerging distribution models. It is designed to educate, support, connect and incentivise filmmakers and content creators about diverse distribution models. Building on our events from the previous two years, Distribution Rewired will provide attendees with direct access to key representatives from a variety of companies informing them on diverse distribution methods including self-distribution, direct distribution and mixed models which combine conventional sales and distribution with direct distribution with the aim of forging future collaborations.
Attendees can take part in a number of discussions, talks, presentations, one-to-one meetings and networking events to help clarify the opportunities and possibilities available for filmmakers and will look at the change in approaches to marketing when distributing through digital avenues. These sessions will be populated with a number of invited industry professional guests from the various sectors of the distribution arena, including VOD platforms, Aggregators, Cinema on Demand, and a selection of related service providers in this area.
Previous guests have included representatives from Under The Milky Way, EuroVOD, BFI Player, Curzon Home Cinema, OurScreen, We Are Colony, Miracle Communications, Vimeo, Filmdoo, iheartcinema, and MUBI.
