Cast Peter Ferdinando, Steven Mackintosh

Originally staged at the Royal Court Theatre in London in 1968 with the help of Harold Pinter, John Hopkins’ This Story of Yours is a harrowing three act examination of a policeman accused of murdering a suspected paedophile during questioning.

At EIFF 2017, in a unique extension of his cutting-edge screen work, Gerard Johnson will direct a stage reading of this controversial play, which was later adapted for cinema and filmed as The Offence, directed by Sidney Lumet and starring ex-EIFF patron Sean Connery.

The reading will be performed by Peter Ferdinando (Ghost in the Shell, Hyena, Tony), Steven Mackintosh (Set Fire to the Stars, Modern Life is Rubbish), Cavan Clerkin, Benny Young and Polly Maberly.
