Young Programmers

EIFF are looking for young people, aged 15-19, who are enthusiastic about film and who are considering pursuing a career within the film industry.

This is an excellent opportunity for young people that are serious about film to take part in a well-established, vibrant and innovative film festival. We are offering a lucky few the opportunity to programme the youth section of Edinburgh International Film Festival. You will watch a selection of shorts and feature films – all of which are UK premieres – discuss and choose those which you believe should be included in the festival programme. After defending those choices to our Artistic Director – Chris Fujiwara – you will then decide on appropriate scheduling depending on your audience. There will be an opportunity to meet filmmakers and industry professionals using your EIFF student pass which gives you access to industry events, press and industry screenings and lots of other great events and benefits. In return, we ask that you show commitment and enthusiasm and provide us with a review of your experiences at EIFF.

To make the most of this opportunity you should be available every Monday 4.30pm-6.30pm starting on the 3rd February 2014 to the end of March and then again during the festival (18th-29th June 2014). Please contact Laura McBride to register your interest on 0131 228 6382 or at laura.mcbride@cmi-scotland.co.uk.
