Media Day 2: Wednesday 22 June 2016, 9:30 - 15:30, Filmhouse / £6 per pupil, teachers free
Each of our Media Days include the screening of a film premiere as well as the unique opportunity to hear from visiting professionals from the creative industries. These events are suitable for S5 & S6 students and will be of particular interest to those taking Higher Media Studies or English.
For this year's Media Days we are still finalising events and the feature film titles to be screened. However, we can confirm that on Media Day 1 Lucy Brett, Head of Education at BBFC, will lead a session on film classification. The following session will be on the topic of short filmmaking, featuring a screening of a short fiction film from the Scottish Film Talent Network (SFTN) and discussion with the filmmakers.
On Media Day 2 we can confirm a session on documentary filmmaking with the Scottish Documentary Institute. Both days will have an afternoon screening of a Festival feature followed by a Q&A discussion with guests from the film.
