Memories and archival material are refracted to create a rich pilgrimage through personal reminiscence and fragments of the past.
The films in this programme collapse the space between past and present through the unravelling of stories and fragments encased within the frames of found film stock, betwixt the pages of archival documents and amid personal accounts. The interlacing of reclaimed film and imagined narratives constructs a mesmeric collage, and a cluster of found 8mm film and a museum of maritime artefacts illuminate remnants of presence and remembrance bound within the objects we treasure.
