Sexuality and religion come into conflict in the life of a smart young loner.
A funny and touching adaptation of humourist David Sedaris’s autobiographical essay. Escaping personal problems and trying to reinvent his life, sensitive young David (Jonathan Groff) travels from the east coast of the United States to Oregon, where he falls under the dubious mentorship of Jon (Denis O’Hare), an Iraq War veteran and born-again Christian who is trying to set himself up as a stone carver. A film of wry humour and sharp observation.
