EIFF Youth is committed to being accessible to everyone. Please see below this year’s access measures.

  • Our programme is co-designed with a team of young people aged 15-25. Find out more about the 2021 EIFF Youth team here. £5 cinema tickets for under 25s, including for our Y badged films.

  • All online and outdoor events are FREE to access. Find out more about the 2021 programme here.

  • All online events are captioned and have BSL interpretation where possible. For the first time the EIFF Youth New Visions Short Film Competition will be available with both captions and audio description (please note AD is only available on Filmhouse at Home).

  • The prestigious EIFF Student Critics Programme was relaunched as EIFF Young Critics Programme with the aim to offer mentorships in film journalism to young people from backgrounds currently under represented in the arts.

  • For the EIFF Youth HQ, we have turned our public event space into a bespoke learning hub for 2021. We have collaborated with groups of local young people and will be delivering film making workshops especially for them in a Covid-safe environment. Topics include scriptwriting, scene building and live music scoring.
