Part of EIFF since
Back in the day...1999 to be precise
Favourite part of the job
Audience reaction. It makes it all worthwhile when our audiences, be that school pupils, festival guests or people who have bought tickets, have a great, life-changing cinema experience. It's cheesy, I know.
Nic's first real job was in education and marketing at Glasgow Film Theatre. She followed this with a brief spell at BFI Distribution promoting titles such as Stella Does Tricks and Under The Skin, before returning to Scotland to programme the cinema of the Macrobert in Stirling. She was Deputy Artistic Director of EIFF from 1999-2005 and now manages Learning activity across Filmhouse and EIFF.
