The sheer variety, innovation and scope exhibited in the submissions we receive, and the challenge of curating the best of these into striking, exciting and stimulating programmes.


Lydia graduated from the University of Edinburgh with an undergraduate MA in Sociology, the focus of her research being an exploration of gendered participation within the Punk movement of the 1970s. Lydia is a founding member of outlaw moving-image collective Screen Bandita, whose expanded-cinema works with 8mm and 16mm film and 35mm slide projections has been performed widely at film festivals, galleries and unusual spaces around the UK and Europe.
