Whisky Galore!

Part of the Film Fest on the Forth Strand

Body

When population of Todday run out of whisky due to wartime rationing, there is a sense of desperation on the tiny Scottish island - until the arrival of the freighter S.S Cabinet Minister. The ship runs aground in heavy fog carrying 50,000 cases of whisky, much to the islander’s delight. Though the English commanding officer Captain Waggett demands return of the liquor, shopkeeper Joseph and his daughters Peggy and Catriona spearhead an island rebellion to keep the plunder for themselves! Based on true events, enjoy this rebellious, whisky-fuelled comedic classic from Ealing Studios that will leave you with a warm glow inside.

Seating at Film Fest on the Forth is done by socially distanced pods. When booking please select a pod that is relevant to your party size - you can choose either deck chairs or picnic-style seating on the ground. There must be an adult in each pod with children. Sometimes there may not be pods left that fit your party size, we're sorry for the disappointment!
