Shorts: Image Is Memory

Body

Six works that investigate how photochemical film evokes, reflects and distorts in ways that vividly capture a transient moment, but also fix it in time as a form of memorial device. A pilgrimage to Derek Jarman’s Dungeness manifests latent memories woven into the landscape; (auto) biographical filmmaking practice addresses the dissemination of images in our postmodern age; and through moments by turn intimate, ephemeral and exquisite, we celebrate the endless innovation with which the camera evocatively catches and reflects back thoughts, feelings and ideas.
