When quiet, unassuming street photographer Rafi (Nawazuddin Siddiqui) receives a visit from his grandmother, who is desperate for him to marry, he asks shy stranger Miloni (Sanya Malhotra) to pretend to be his fiancée. As their relationship gradually develops, so does their perspective on each other and on life in the city. Beautifully shot, sweet-natured and emotionally engaging, and featuring sensitive and delicate performances from the brilliant cast, this is another bittersweet romance from Ritesh Batra (director of internationally acclaimed audience-favourite The Lunchbox) that is simultaneously a love letter to the city of Mumbai.
