Douglas Mackinnon has directed over 50 hours of network television drama, for shows such as Sherlock, Dirk Gently, Silent Witness and Doctor Who. Sherlock, The Abominable Bride, directed by Douglas, won the Emmy for Best Television Movie in 2016, and Line of Duty series 2 (Douglas was lead director) won the 2015 RTS Award for Best Series. He is the director of feature The Flying Scotsman, nominated for five Scottish BAFTAs.
