Featuring a wonderful ensemble cast including the brilliant Luis Tosar (Cell 211), with whom Bollaín would further collaborate on Take My Eyes (2003) and Even the Rain (2010), Flowers from Another World was screened as part of International Critics Week at the 52nd Cannes Film Festival, where it won the critics’ award for Best Film.
