The Captor

Part of the American Dreams Strand

Ethan Hawke stars as outlaw Lars Nystrom, who dons a wig and a cowboy hat, pulls out a machine gun and enters a Stockholm bank in 1973. Taking hostages, he demands his friend Gunnar (Mark Strong) be released from prison, a cool $1 million and a getaway car. During negotiations, Bianca (Noomi Rapace) starts to fall for Lars. Directed by Robert Budreau (Born to Be Blue, 2015) and based on a true story, The Captor has a wry sense of humour and a great soundtrack. [15]
