Director Bio

Glen Kirby is an emerging writer and director from London, England. He focusses his efforts on creating a range of engaging stories that bridge the gap between social and cultural themes and commercial appeal. He is the CEO of a British production company called Jack In The Box Films, which has currently completed two feature films, Off Piste and The Pugilist.

Heartbroken after the death of his wife and estranged from his two sons, William McCrae (Matthew Jure) is going through the motions in his job as a university lecturer. When a family tragedy sees him pulled into a dangerous web of organised crime, he must draw on his past as a prize-winning boxer and fight to save his family. Featuring emotionally raw performances throughout and strong, focused direction, The Pugilist marks Glen Kirby as a new British talent to watch.
