Love After Love
Part of the American Dreams Strand
When their mother Suzanne (Andie MacDowell) starts to move on after the death of their father, Nicholas (Chris O’Dowd) and Chris (James Adomian) struggle to deal with their unstable lives without their father’s support as they deal with break-ups, career missteps and bouts of depression. Humour and drama go hand-in- hand as writer-director Russell Harbaugh’s shrewdly balanced film offers intimate snapshots of moments in family life, with Andie MacDowell especially effective as a matriarch trying to keep her family together.
