Can the art world make room for a woman who matches none of its entry criteria?
Martin Provost
After working as an actor for a number of years, Martin Provost decided to devote himself entirely to writing and directing. His stage plays Le voyage immobile (1982) and Les poupées (1992) were followed by his first novel Aime-moi vite (1993). He has also directed two short films, J'ai peur du noir (1990) and Cocon (1993). Tortilla y Cinéma (1997) was his first feature film, and was followed by Le ventre de Juliette (2002).
