My Year Without Sex
Sacha Horler, Matt Day, Portia Bradley, Jonathan Segat
A frank, warm and funny portrait of family life, from acclaimed Australian director Sarah Watt.
Ross (Matt Day) and Natalie (Sacha Horler) are in a comfortable rut – marriage warm if not scorching, jobs just tolerable, kids only slightly out of control. Then crisis hits, and everything they took for granted very nearly slips away... The writer/director of the highly acclaimed Look Both Ways here affirms her great gift for authentic characterisation, and her eye for the absurd detail of day-to-day life.

The interesting part of this movie was the fact it was so ordinary. Nothing spectacular really happened although it might have and there were many occasions for it. Neat observation of life of regular folks. This is how I picture Australia. Worth seeing.
