Darker-than-dark Swedish comedy, as two brothers face mortality head-on.

Swooping between knock-about physical humour and heart- twisting poignancy, this icebound family drama is brimming with originality and wit. When Henrik returns home for his father’s funeral, he finds a coffin that’s too small for the corpse, a mother who’s all too ready to join her mate, and a brother with a bone to pick… Can the siblings settle their differences whilst dealing with their parents’ respective exit strategies?

For a Rosebud entry, this was a competent film whose narrative, for me, lacked originality. I was reminded of the superior 2004 film 'Masjãvlar' by Swedish director Maria Blom.

Nice, unassuming and not remotely darker than dark little flick with a great score by Matti Bye.
