The Red Shoes and Digital Restoration: Panel Discussion

The panel is 90 minutes long and the film is 133 minutes long.
This illuminating panel event will explain the process undertaken to restore the classic film The Red Shoes, which we unveil this year in a brand new 35mm print.
This restoration has been made possible by Martin Scorsese’s Film Foundation and partners the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and the UCLA Film and Television Archive, in collaboration with the film’s owners ITV Global Entertainment and the custodians of the original negatives, the British Film Institute. Every stage of the process has been supervised by Bob Gitt of UCLA and approved by Powell’s widow Thelma Schoonmaker-Powell and Martin Scorsese.
Followed by the first chance to see a brand new 35mm print of one the most beautiful films of all time.
