Devi
Chhabi Biswas, Soumitra Chatterjee, Sharmila Tagore, Purnendu Mukherjee, Karuna Bannerjee

Satyajit Ray is best known for his Apu trilogy, but this gorgeous, passionate work of anti-clericism is every bit as good. As the pressure builds upon her, Tagore appears on the screen as if from within a Raphael painting.
