One woman’s powerful battle to overcome trauma.

After a ferocious assault in her own home, Marieke retreats to a dilapidated house in the quiet Dutch countryside. Whilst battling hard to confront her fear and anger, she works maniacally on renovating the place, and as the building’s condition starts to improve, so too does Marieke. A brilliant and brutally honest performance from Rifka Lodeizen (Tiramisu, EIFF 2008) imbues every scene in this harrowing film with an unforgettable grit and tenderness.
