Marco Bechis
Marco Bechis was born in Santiago de Chile in 1955 and grew up in São Paulo and Buenos Aires. In 1977, he was expelled from Argentina for political reasons and attended the Albedo film school in Milan. From 1983 to 1986, he directed and produced experimental shorts for RAI televison. In 1991, he made his feature film debut Alambrado. His other directing credits include Garage Olimpo (1999) and Figli/Hijos (2001). His films have received a total of 14 international awards.
