Big Things
Tony Claassen, Dean Palo, Micaiah Dring, Shaun Mechen, Rupert Procter, Ed Davies
A witty and bracingly real low-budget comedy – for anyone who’s ever given their all to something they weren’t very good at...
Would-be filmmaker Richard (Tony Claassen) has a dream – and a script. What he lacks is money, experience, equipment and a cast that can be relied upon to show up for shooting. Backed by his sardonic sidekick Ray (a hilarious Dean Palo), Richard fights to get his vision on screen – or at least into a meeting with a regional funding body. But is it worth the cost to his personal life and peace of mind?

Laugh-free script. Embarrassingly amateur actors. Most of all, it was just deeply depressing that this travesty received public funding.
