Support the future of EIFF
Established in 1947 the Edinburgh International Film Festival is the longest continually running film festival in the world, renowned for discovering and promoting the very best in international cinema.
Every year EIFF shows a variety of new films and a multitude of World, International, European and UK premieres. We also continue to show an incredible range of short films, retrospectives, animated films, documentaries and culturally diverse films.
In addition to its 120 World, European and UK Premiere film screenings, red carpet glamour and unique opportunities to interact with some of the world’s leading film makers; the Festival runs an internationally renowned conference for members of the UK and international film industries, attended by around 1500 delegates. Our 9 day delegate programme offers a range of targeted networking and career development activities provided within our exclusive Delegate Centre.
As a charity the Festival also dedicates itself to introducing a new generation to the joys and potential of the moving image, providing a wealth of learning and educational e vents for all ages from primary school to graduate level and beyond. Initiatives include the ‘EIFF Youth Hub’, our ‘Young Critics’ and ‘Young Programmers’ schemes, the ‘Edinburgh Schools Film Competition’ and ‘Understanding Cinema’.
To do all of this we rely on support from a variety of sources, including public partners, commercial sponsors, trusts & foundations and individual donors. The generosity of our supporters plays a vital role in making sure EIFF continues to be world-class each year.
