The Edinburgh and the Lothians Schools Film Competition is open to all pupils in nursery, primary and secondary education within the City of Edinburgh, East, West and Midlothian establishments. The competition sees selected films share the festival limelight with leading filmmakers from around the world.
We are delighted to once again partner with City of Edinburgh Council and Screen Education Edinburgh to give young people across Edinburgh and the Lothians the chance to have their film selected for the Festival and screened alongside leading filmmakers. Now in its tenth year, the competition is open to all pupils in nursery, primary and secondary education. Work is viewed and selected by a Youth Jury who curate the programme and awards ceremony at the Festival in June. More details about the competition can be found on the Screen Education Edinburgh website here.
