EIFF runs an industry-only programme that consists of a variety of services and events which run throughout the festival. Most of these benefits are accessible at the official EIFF Industry Centre. This position will be the lead Industry Centre point of contact for all EIFF and Traverse staff in relation to the various functions taking place including space management, upkeep, equipment, health and safety. This role works closely with the Head of Industry & Talent Development to coordinate daily networking and social events at the Industry Centre. In addition they will support the Industry Events team as required at other venues.
For this role, you need to understand Festival environments and the purpose of the Industry Centre. You have worked previously in a venue and must be experienced in delivering successful events, managing people, dealing with technical hires, and able to liaise effectively with external partners, suppliers and venue staff. You’ll be confident in facilitating a busy and constantly changing environment and have great interpersonal skills. The ability to keep focused in a social environment, awareness of health and safety, and willingness to work unsociable hours are also all important for this role.
