The Marketing Department is responsible for publicising the EIFF, engaging audiences and driving ticket sales. This is achieved through a wide variety of communication channels, with EIFF’s digital platforms naturally playing a significant role. In order to generate dynamic, engaging and relevant content for online publishing, EIFF requires a specialist Digital Content Coordinator to be responsible for the delivery and generating of this content in collaboration with the Head of Marketing and other EIFF departments. The Digital Content Coordinator creates stories and feature articles as well as sourcing the latest news, views and reviews, to support the Marketing Department’s objectives, optimising EIFF’s digital channels.
Candidates must have previous experience in digital content provision, copywriting, editing, interviewing etc. The ability to realise content-generation opportunities at short notice, and at all times meet deadlines, is essential. This role requires a proactive (as well as reactive) film fan with a dynamic character keen to engage the EIFF web and social media audience with great content in order to maximise online interest and dialogue. A strong understanding of film and web communications is a must.
