    On Sat 16 August, Edinburgh International Film Festival hosted the inaugural screening and awards of the EIFF Short Film Challenge. Shortlisted films selected from submitted titles were screened to a public audience, alongside the invited jury which comprised producer Melanie Coombes, editor/writer/director Rachel Tunnard, and Nick Rowland, whose short film Slap won the Virgin Atlantic Little Red Award for Best Short Film at this year’s EIFF.
