Edinburgh International Film Festival opens submissions for 2017, seeking emerging talent to screen at the 71st edition of the Festival.

 

Submissions for the 2017 Edinburgh International Film Festival are now OPEN!

The longest continually running film festival in the world, Edinburgh International Film Festival is now preparing its 71st edition.

We are pleased to announce that submissions for the 2017 EIFF are now open.

Successful submissions will be showcased before public and industry audiences at the 2017 edition of one of the world’s most respected film festivals.Click HERE for more information on how to submit.

At last year's Festival, we screened 101 films that came through submissions, making up 34% of the toal number of films at EIFF 2016.

These included Adult Life Skills, Cinema, Mon Amour, My Feral Heart (below) and Neither Wolf Nor Dog, as well as two award winners - Simon's Cat - Off to the Vet, the winner of the McLaren Award for Best British Animation, and Shadow World, our 2016 Best Documentary Feature Film.

Submissions Deadlines:

Wednesday 14 December – Earlybird Deadline
Wednesday 18 January – Regular Deadline
Wednesday 15 February – Late Deadline
