Iain Gardner's BAFTA Scotland nomination
Congratulations to EIFF’s Iain Gardner on his BAFTA Scotland nomination for Animation
EIFF is celebrating the BAFTA Scotland nomination for Iain Gardner. This is great news for Iain who has been EIFF’s Animation Programmer since 2009 and is a key part of the Festival’s team. Iain won Best Animated Short at the Toronto Worldwide Short Film Festival 2011 and EIFF is hoping he has similar success at this year’s BAFTA Scotland Awards on 13 November.
EIFF is delighted to have premiered multiple 2011 nominations including Fixing Luka, The Tannery, I Love Luci, Donkeys and Perfect Sense.

Iain Gardner, is an award-winning animator and is EIFF's Animation Programmer. Iain is currently working with EIFF/Filmhouse on a project for 2014 celebrating the centenary of the the great Scottish animator Norman McLaren. He is working with various partners, including Glasgow School of Art where McLaren was a student, the National Film Board of Canada where McLaren went to work when he left Scotland, and the MacRobert, Stirling where his archive is held.
Winners of EIFF 2014’s short film awards and two of its documentary premieres have been nominated for 2015 BAFTAs.
