Modern Languages Screening- A Separate Wind

We are pleased to announce a Schools Screening of A Separate Wind on Tuesday 23 June 10am at Cineworld Fountain Park.

 A Separate Wind (Viento aparte)
Alejandro Gerber Bicecci / Mexico / 2014 / 100 mins
Mario Balandra, Valentina Buzzurro, Margarita Chavarría, Sebastián Cobos, Desiderio Däxuni / Fiction / Spanish

Suitable for S4-S6

When teenagers Omar and Karina's mother suffers a stroke, they set off across Mexico to visit their grandmother. Their journey exposes them to people and situations they are ill-equipped to deal with, and tensions run high as they contend with a complex, unforgiving adult world. Social divisions, unrest and violence are evidenced in the world around them in a multi-layered, naturalistic tale of the bonds of family and the intricacies of Mexican society.

Tickets for this screening are £3 per pupil, teachers free.

We anticipate there will be great demand for these events so please register your interest early to avoid disappointment. For further information or to make a booking please contact Jenny Leask or Amy MacKinnon at or on 0131 228 6382.
