An Insight into the Edinburgh International Film Festival
Wednesday 19th - Sunday 23rd June 2013.
An Insight into the Edinburgh International Film Festival (EIFF) is a short course offered every year by EIFF and the University of Edinburgh.
This Open Studies course allows participants the chance to analyse and discover the range and depth of the Festival’s film programming, whilst networking with fellow cinephiles. As ever, this years course offers an eclectic range of screenings and events. Participants will receive a 2013 EIFF catalogue and will attend six film premieres at EIFF, beginning with the Opening Night Gala, and take part in lectures and tutor-led discussions.
Starting off with the Opening Night, the course will cover five days of programming (19-23 June inclusive) and can be attended by anyone from the public, no previous knowledge is required. The aim is to give participants a better critical understanding of film styles, genres and directorial approaches and a real insight into the Festival.
Fribourg International Film Festival (FIFF) and Edinburgh International Film Festival (EIFF) are pleased to announce their collaboration on an ambitious retrospective called The History of Iranian Cinema by Its Creators.
