A Herculean task booking hotels and private accommodation for hundreds of people over a short period of time when there is barely room left in a stable in Edinburgh in August. It's extremely fiddily and pressurised. At certain stages in the process you will be provisionally holding bookings worth up to 10 times the value of your actual budget. It's a merry dance with hoteliers as you negotiate cancellation policies etc. So nerves of steel essential and a very good business sense. Previous experience as a busy production co-ordinator for TV or film might be appropriate.
