Development

The Development Department primarily raises sponsorship from the corporate sector, organises Film Festival parties and co-ordinates the needs of sponsors including tickets, branding and corporate hospitality.

For 2008 we are looking to fill the following positions to support the Head of Development:

Development Assistant

Early May - end of the festival

This position gives administrative support to the Development department in many ways.  There is lots of admin to be done including filing, data input, and the collation of press cuttings. You'll also be answering calls and emails from sponsors and funders, responding to their requests for information and tickets.  You'll maintain the guest list database for our Opening and Closing night parties monitoring all invitations, replies and ticket mailouts. Mostly you will be working office hours but you will be required to work some evenings at big events.  This position will be enjoyed by someone who takes a pride in their organisational skills and who enjoys working as part of a small team but is able to work on their own initiative. Candidates should have office experience to ensure they have the necessary organisational and administrative skills needed for this post.  Although previous experience of working for an arts organisation is not essential, the post is unlikely to appeal to someone without an enthusiasm for and interest in the arts.
