IT Assistants for the Delegate Centre

Working in the venue that is set up for the exclusive use of filmmakers and film industry professionals visiting the Festival. The IT provision in here is sponsored by NEC and you will be involved in the installation of their equipment and its upkeep. You will ensure installation and networking of computer equipment and associated programmes in conjunction with consultants from NEC. You'll be responsible for the setting up of a WiFi service and for the setting up and maintenance of a VoiceoverIP service. You'll be on call for visitors and staff if they encounter any hardware or software problems, and you'll be expected to find efficient solutions to these problems. To liaise with NEC to minimise machine/equipment downtime through adequate routine maintenance You'll need to be a people person who communicates in a friendly and professional manner. You also need to stay calm under pressure, be flexible, self motivated and a team player. You must have excellent computer skills, including in-depth knowledge of networking and a general knowledge of programmes - windows operating system and Microsoft Office. Desirable would be knowledge of server operating systems eg WIndows Server 2003/2008.
