VOLUNTEERS (All teams)

Events' Technical Volunteer (1 post)

A chance to work behind the scenes with the Technical team, you will help provide the film, digital and audio-visual resources for the Festival.

2 weeks in June, including Festival period plus training. 1 full-time post.

A chance to work behind the scenes with the Technical team, you will help provide the film, digital and audio-visual resources for the Festival; assisting at Festival screenings and events, talks and presentations and/or with the digital transfer of films into a suitable format for projection and quality checking.

An interest in all things technical is essential and some practical experience of film, digital and audio/visual equipment and live events would be an advantage. All necessary training and supervision will however be provided.

Good communication skills will also be helpful as you may be in contact with our busy Industry, Press and Programme Planning teams and with Festival delegates and guests.

This work can be physical as the technical team installs equipment in venues all day long.

Technical volunteer duties usually take place between 9am and 11pm. Daily shifts can be 5-7hrs long but may be spread across the day to fit with event times, so flexibility is useful in this role.

Please see the EIFF Recruitment Policy in the introduction section for further information on EIFF Volunteers.
