Events Technician (3 posts)

Supports the Technical Manager in delivering technical requirements of all non-film EIFF events.

Mid June to early July. 3 full-time posts.

Supports the Technical Manager in delivering technical requirements of all non-film EIFF events including introductions, Q&As, industry and Delegate Centre events; ensuring technical aspects are delivered to highest safety and professional standards. Also helps schedule, train and supervise any technical volunteers.

Successful candidates will reliably support the Technical Manager in this very busy team, have a sound working knowledge of video and audio equipment and experience working on live events. They will also possess good leadership qualities as they are required to help schedule, train and supervise technical volunteers, they'll have a calm and competent manner when dealing with Festival colleagues, external event organisers and our partner venues venue. They will also love film and teamwork to help with going through the long hours. Across the three full-time posts we will be looking for candidates with strong skills and experience in:

  • live event sound, with a good knowledge of current audio technologies, live sound mixing and recording
  • lighting, camera, editing and vision mixing with experience of live events
  • driver, over 25 years for insurance purposes, would be an advantage
