Technician

Supports the Technical Manager in delivering technical requirements of all non-film EIFF events including introductions, Q&As, industry and Delegate Centre events

Supports the Technical Manager in delivering technical requirements of all non-film EIFF events including introductions, Q&As, industry and Delegate Centre events; ensuring technical aspects are delivered to highest safety and professional standards.

To reliably support the Technical Manager in this very busy team you'll have a sound working knowledge of video and audio equipment and experience working on live events. You will also possess good leadership qualities - as you are required to help schedule, train and supervise technical volunteers - and will have a calm and professional manner when dealing with Festival colleagues, external event organisers and our partner venues. A love of film and of teamwork will keep you going through the long hours. Across the two full-time posts we will be looking for candidates with strong skills and experience in:
- live event sound, with a good knowledge of current audio technologies, live sound mixing and recording.
- lighting, camera, editing and vision mixing with experience of live events.
A driver, over 25 yrs for insurance purposes, would be an advantage.
