Submissions Coordinator

Position filled for 2009.

End Nov - April

EIFF receives over 2200 submissions a year from filmmakers who hope their film will be selected for EIFF. Your job is to coordinate this process. There's lots of data inputting, and there is money handling. You will ensure the submissions are viewed by the team of programmers, you'll catalogue and file all supporting material and you'll co-ordinate the help of an assistant on a Placement with the festival. You must be a fast and focused worker able to cope with the often boring and repetitive nature of this process. You must cope with communication with anxious filmmakers and you must monitor the process to ensure its integrity. This body of work finishes at the end of June and depending on your skills and experiences there may be an opportunity for you to progress into another role.
