Front of House Liaisons (2 posts)

The Front of House Liaisons are the Programme Planning team’s front-line operatives at cinema venues, working alongside cinema management to ensure that screenings and events in the Festival programme run smoothly and professionally.

Mid June to end of June. 2 full-time posts.

The Front of House Liaisons are the Programme Planning team’s front-line operatives at cinema venues, working alongside cinema management to ensure that screenings and events in the Festival programme run smoothly and professionally. They are essentially a representative of the EIFF at the cinema, meaning they act with EIFF's interests in mind at all times and act as a liaison between the two organisations, relaying information both ways and keeping a constant eye on the clock.

The Front of House Liaison is a visible member of EIFF and should be ready to deal with the needs or requests of filmmakers and other guests, including making them comfortable at times when the cinema management or other EIFF staff are unable to attend. They must monitor the arrival of all people required for screenings or events (filmmakers, programmers, etc.). They may also need to take a hands-on role in implementing certain live events.

The ideal candidate will have the temperament to deal with the busy day to day running of the Festival. They must be completely dedicated towards helping raise EIFF's overall reputation and profile by ensuring the festival program in their venue runs smoothly and on time, as well as being a visible face of EIFF to assist guests and filmmakers when they are inside the cinema building.
