February to early July. 1 full-time role.
At the core of planning and delivering film programmes across all CMI outputs, the Programme Coordinators lead the implementation of a wide range of individual programming initiatives, and support the Programme Manager in every aspect of the department. Programme Coordinators ensure screenings and special events run smoothly and successfully; handle the administration relating to invited and programmed films; manage and distribute the detailed schedule of screenings and live events; liaise with filmmakers, distributors, event participants, cinema and front of house staff; and production-manage live events when necessary.
The work may span Filmhouse, EIFF, various client sites, one-off projects including major nationwide touring programmes, the provision of services to smaller exhibitors and festivals, plus our theatrical distribution and VoD operations.
An administrative type with knowledge of filmmaking and/or the film industry and /or cinema exhibition, Programme Coordinators are super organised and detail oriented with a very good memory and a willingness to learn. A proactive problem-solver with the ability to work independently, they can cope with pressure and deadlines in a frenetic work environment. Enjoys being part of a tight knit team, enjoys supporting a manager, and stays until the job is done.
